Default IPD rear sway bar install

i put a volvo ipd rear sway bar onto my 2006 v50. it took me about an hour and a half. the directions didnt say how tight it needed to be or which way the bushings should be facing. i was hoping to get some insight or pictures of the finished product in ideal condition.

i got tired of waiting on the phone after about 20 minutes of that awful elevator music. it's been more convenient just to email them but i still haven't gotten a clear answer about the bushings over hanging the cupped washers.

I wish I could offer more than a guess. Your pictures do suggest the bushings are facing the correct way just not seated into the cups of the washers. Those look like poly bushings too. Can you align the bushings with the cup and tighten the bolt such that they seat into the cups? The poly won't crush down like rubber.

Didn't yours come with instructions? Perhaps this will help. http://www.ipdusa.com/files/product/...STRUCTIONS.PDF

Yes i received those instructions but they're for an earlier version of the sway bar.

I have noticed that after about 50 miles of driving around town on rugged Oklahoma roads some of the bushings seem to have worked their way into the washers. Its not dead on perfect but the guys from IPD emailed me and said it wouldn't be.
