Key stuck in ignition

The button on the shifter does not pop out. Is this a common problem? Easy to fix?

If you look at the top of the button on the knob you will most likely see where it is broke.

It is pretty common.You will need a new knob.

How do you get it off? How much is it? Can you get it anywhere or only at volvo?

I don't remember the price.I think you can only get it from the dealer.
The shift knob just pulls off.You will have to get the boot off the bottom of the knob first.You do that by twisting the lock ring in the boot and pushing down.

Mine happened too. I just have to push the button out manually if it sticks. Try a bit of spray lub might fix it.
