Motor Mounts
 

I just purchased a 2000 S40 that has a vibration at idle. I was told to check the motor mounts, Can anyone tell me how many mounts this car has, I have found 3 but when I look at different places to purchase the mounts they show about 6 different mounts.
Is there one particular mount that generally goes bad or should I just replace all of them.

You have 4 mounts.
One on the right side of the car by the drive belt.
One on the left side of the car under the air filter box.
Then there is 2 mounts under the motor front and rear of the motor. There is a cross bar from the body tothe motor that holds the 2 mounts.
I would replace all 4 of them. They all pretty much go bad.
