Hi,
I have recently joint this forum because I'm keen on buying a pre-facelift T5 S40, 220bhp/man gearbox.

However, since I'm just about to look for those kinds of Volvos, can anyone tell me what kind of suspension do the T5's have?
What I mean is, are all T5 volvos fitted with the same suspension as standard or are there variations? I do know that the R-Design probably has a lot better suspension setup than the stock T5's.

So to sum it up, your typical T5 S40, what kind of suspension do they have, and if they vary depending on packages (sport, dynamic etc.) what components would I need to change to get the sportier ride?

At this point, any clarification on various S40 suspension setups are very welcome :)

I'm not sure what a pre-facelift T5 is? Correct me if I'm wrong, you are talking a European model S40 in the 2000-2004 range? Now I have a 2005 T5 AWD with Auto, North American model as well as a 2001 S40 North American model. The 2005 being a completely new platform, it is not comparable to the 2001 model.

If you have the European version with the bigger 14T turbo I would suggest the Volvo UK forums for specific advice.
