I need to know the name of the plastic part that is placed next the the headlights in a 2002 Volvo s40. I know what the headlights are called (obviously), but what are the apparatus right next ot them. There are two and they usually operate when I switch on the turn signals.

Any help appreciated. Tnhankls in advance.

Respectfully,

Oaky, I bought. It should be here by the end of the week. My next question is how to remove the central electronic module on a 2002 Volvo s40. Any diagram would help. Diagrams re much more
helpful than just written words.

Thanks in advance.

If the 2002 is the same as my 2000 S40, there's not much to show via a diagram. The CEM is located under the driver's side dash just above the hood release. its the box with 3 cables going into one side and there are two mounting screws. To remove the cables you need to push in the center tab and wiggle/pry to pull the connectors off.

As I recall, I had to remove the smaller cables first, then was able to spin slightly to get room to work off the larger connector.
