I need to install a new battery.

let's say i got the battery and parked the car, i don't remove the key after turning the car off? keep it in pos 0 or I or put it in II when removing the battery?
when installing the battery, should i connect the +ve or -ve first?

You take the key out you dont want any load on the battery while removing it.When uninstalling the battery you disconnect the negative first.When installing it you reconnect the positive first and negative last.Make sure you have the radio code handy you gonna need it.

 

i bought the car used, where would i find the code?!

 

What year is your car? I attached the battery disconnect / connect procedure.

got to call dealer for code, it's not in your manual anywhere?

 

changed the battery and no code was needed!
