Oil and spark plug change
 

Hi i,m looking for some info on how to change the oil in my volvo s40 2001 1834cc gdi. i have 55200 on the clock not sure when the oil was last changed, i just wanna changed the oil and not the filter.

aswell i need to know what size spark plug socket i will need and what would be the prefered spark plug type,

please help

The oil change is pretty easy. But you will need a tool to remove the filter housing.

The spark plug size is 5/8.
Buy Volvo plugs.

The oil change is a pain because nobody has the filter. I would buy a volvo filter. The spark plugs that worked for me are only volvo and Denso iridium.

Well i have changed my spark plugs with bosch Yttrium super plus, they work sweetly,
I,m just servicing my own volvo so i just need to know now what type of oil filter i should get?
and do i need to put my car up on a ramp when i,m changing the oil filter? or can i just slide under? i might be able to loosen by hand
