Outside Temp Sensor

Where is the outside temp sensor located? My fiancee's 2003 S40 was in a front end and ever since then, she has no more outside air temp on the msg center and her heater/AC controls only blow hot when all the way up at the red mark. Any ideas? Thanks.

RE: Outside Temp Sensor

The temp sensor should be in the hole by the bottom of the bumper.

Does the A/C blow cold at all?
Can you hear the compressor come on?

RE: Outside Temp Sensor

Yep, the A/C comes on, but the climate controls aren't putting out any heat unless the temp knob is turned all the way to the right in the red. I have Auto Climate in my car and know how it works, but there's NO HEAT at all coming out when it's 30 degrees outside and the knob is set to 60 or 65 ot 70. Only in the red.

Well there's a harness with 3 plugs just hanging where you described the outside temp sensor to be. I'm sure the collision shop never reaplced it. Just scheduled a trip to the dealer on Thursday and we'll know that evening.
