pcv tube 05 s50 t5
so i had some issues under the hood that sounded quite ominous... kinda squeely belt sound...thought it coulda been a bearing as well... but there is a damn tube made of the crappiest plastic known to man that goes up the side of the block(directly to the front if standing in front of the car)... it broke and made a wistling noise, dose any one know if i have to hve that part or can i possible create a hybrid pice using the to remaining pieses... the end that would connect to the pcv, and the end to the valve cover????

I would just splice in a good piece of vacuum hose. Careful that it can take both vacuum and boost and not collapse or blow off.
Wait till you change the headlights and the inner adjustable part breaks loose because the cheap a$$ plastic breaks. Nothing JB Weld can't handle but what a PITA having to disassemble the headlights to fix it. |

RE: pcv tube 05 s50 t5
I would take it to the dealer especially if it is under warranty. Volvo has updated the pcv (breather box) as well as made that plastic tube into a rubber hose. If not under warranty you can atleast buy the updated parts and install them yourself. You will need to remove the big air box in the front of the engine though.
