PO128/Check Engine

I have a 2002 S40 and have had the PO128 issue come up a couple of times. This time I've changed the thermostat and ETC sensor twice and the check engine light is still on. I've also added coolant. Any ideas?

Replace the coolant completely buy only OEM thermostat.
