Recommend online auto parts
Hi. It seems as though I'm in need of a new coolant temp sensor and a fuel pressure regulator for my 2002 s40. The only auto stores here are O'reilly and napa and they're really expensive. I found a few sites, but does anyone know of reputable auto part websites? The sensor I found on amazon for about $12, and the FPR was a little over $100 with a discount on I believe advanced auto. I don't even know what these parts look like, so I want to make sure the site has the right one for my car. I only depend on what it gives me after I input my year, make & model.
Thanks in advance!

RockAuto Auto Parts should also be included in any parts search. A starter for my 2005 at Advance is almost $250. Rock Auto has it for about $130 plus shipping.

For OEM parts, I have had very good customer service from:
Volvo Parts - Authentic OEM Volvo Parts direct from Volvo Parts Webstore | VolvoPartsWebstore.com
There search function is helpful and it pulls up the OEM drawings so you can check the drawing before you order the part.

eeuroparts.com is another. For the sensors many places like FCP and Eeuroparts offer both after-market and Volvo OEM. I just dropped in an aftermarket sensor for $15 and thermostat (do both as you need to pop the t-stat cover to see the sensor - also see my thread on how the connector clip works - wasn't obvious to me). Similar for the FPR. The advantage of mail order like FCP, who I use - partly because they are here in CT so shipping is fast and they have a good return policy and guarantee the part/fit.

Best prices online for OEM only parts is: www.tascaparts.com. You won't beat them for VOLVO OEM parts. Their current fraud prevention system is very restrictive though. If you are ordering from a physical location other than your billing address (even if your billing matches your delivery address) your order will be put on hold and you will need to call them directly to sort it out. They are great to deal with but they have a limited # of staff manning the phones so reaching them directly can be challenging.
My two votes for non-OEM, tools, + some OEM would be www.fcpeuro.com and www.ipdusa.com. Both have awesome customer service, reasonable prices, good communication and warranty services + very good shipping turn-around.
