Hello
I have had an 05 S40 for a year and a bit now and have replaced the bulbs on both sides twice already.
is that usual?

Ive never gone through bulbs on a car so quick.

My dad's S80 eats lightbulbs. If you go to evolvecars.com they have a lifetime warranty on their bulbs. They're a little more expensive, but I'd venture to say it's worth it!
