S40 Trailer wire brake installation
Hello all,
I install my trailer hitch yesterday on my s40 2005 (Very easy to do). Now i want to install wire connection to connect brake light and turn signals to the car.
Anybody have any experience on that, what to do or not to do? This is what i have bought to install.

I have another question, am going to tow a little boat of around 800 pounds with the volvo s40 2.4i, do you think it will be ok ? I have change all suspension recently, + new brakes rear and front.
Thanks !

Your car has a towing capacity of 2000 lbs so you should be fine. Check out Volvowiringdiagrams.com - there should be a trailer module in the right side of the trunk (a box behind the liner?) that should be the point with the connections. You may want to see if there's a factory trailer wiring harness too (dealer sites like Tascaparts.com or volvopartswarehouse.com may list with a diagram. Post up how this works out!
