Struts and stut mounts

Looks like I busted the struts and strut mounts. Volvo s40 2001 85,000 miles. Is this a common problem? Where do I get the strut mounts (volvo)? Any recomendations?

The driver side is making a clanging sound. I had my mechanic look at it and he said it is the mount and to chage both and the struts.
