Temporary Boost Problem?
 

Hi everyone. New member here. I purchased a 2005 S40 T5 AWD with the 6 speed manual transmission last week with approximately 94,500 kms on it. Today while merging onto the highway, I decided to push it a bit to test it out, seeing as I hadn't done that yet. So I went from 3rd through 5th gear at maximum acceleration. After that I drove it easy. A few minutes later it was as if there was NO boost at all...the engine was VERY sluggish and seemed as if it might have been in limp home mode or something (there were no warnings or information on the dash). I exited from the highway and let the car idle a bit and shut it off, pulled out the key waited about 30 seconds. I then reinserted the key and started the car again and everything was totally fine after that. Has anyone experienced this before, or would anyone know what this might be? Any help at all would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Just FYI, I took the car to the dealer for the 96,000 kms service and they pulled the codes...

ECM-603C "Turbo Control - Pressure too high"
ECM-603D "Turbo Control - Pressure too low"

Turns out I need a new Turbo Control Valve because it was sticking. Anyway, just wanted to make everyone aware of that in case you experience this. :)
