Thunk around 10mph after cold start
I have a 2008 s40 2.4i with 72k miles now.
For a few months now I have noticed that after a cold start, when I first start driving, I hear a thunk or click from the front end when I go through 10-12mph. It is most noticeable when I am going down a hill with my foot off the gas. Its an automatic, and it isnt usually at the same time as the shift from 1st to second, and its not the power locks.
Any ideas as to what it could be? I've had the front end checked out, and after the first click/thunk it does not come back. When I stop the car, put it in park, then drive again, it doesnt happen. When I start/drive the car when it is hot, it doesnt do it either.
Thoughts?
