I'd like to use my '00 S40 to haul my bike to Deal's Gap this year instead of renting another truck. How much can my car tow? The bike is about 400lbs. Should I be worried aboutall the hills?

 

Something that light I wouldn't be worried about. Now if you were getting up around 2000 lbs. then you would want to have an auxillary transmission cooler and a full tow package. But for intermittent hauling of light loads like yours no problem. If it starts to shift out of overdrive alot on the hills just put it in 4th.
