Trunk does open using key FOB
 

03 S40 - The trunk opens fine using the mechanical button on the outside. When I operate the remote (key FOB), I can hear the actuator in the trunk clicking but the trunk doesn't pop open. Im aware of valet mode and the position of the lock cylinder. Any information on how the remote operates is appreciated.

Pressing the button on the key fob only unlocks the trunk so you can manually open it. It does not automatically pop up.

Neither my 2001 or 2005 S40 pops open with the key fob.

It does not pop open the trunk on my 2007 S40 either. It just unlocks the trunk; would be nice if it did pop open.
