Volvo 2001 1.8 s40 electrical problems

Hi everyone new to the forum.
Im having some issues with the electronics on my 2001 s40. Basically the interior lights stopped working, the open door sign is constantly on, the aerial is halfway up and will not move up or down when the car is turned on or off, and to add to the latest list of problems the central locking would not work interior or exterior with the fob. Also while driving the hazards decided to turn on without being pressed. It all started a few days ago when i used a battery booster to get the car startes because the battery was dead. The booster fried out and i had to get a jump since then nothing has been right and is getting gradually worse. Anybody expirienced this and know what to do or any input would be great.

Check the fuses yet? There are two different fuse boxes - one under the dash by the hood release and the second is under the hood. The owners manual has a list of fuses. Some online resources - volvowiringdiagrams.com and you can google "Volvo 2001 s40 owners manual PDF" if don't still have one in the car. Its possible you have a relay problem or the ignition switch but start with fuses then relays.

Yes i have the manual and have accidently fixed it. I was checking the fuses under the hood. Turns out they were all fine but after replacing them the problems stopped. So im wondering if one was not making a connection. Thank you for the help.
