volvo fm modulator s40 year 04
 

hi guys, i recently bought a volvo s40 year 04 through private sale.
the stereo isn't working and when i brought it to my volvo dealer they tell me that the fm modulator is broke.
They say the cd player itself is fine and the cost of a new modulator is around 800 euro plus software and labour!!!
there has to be a cheaper option ? the stereo is inbulit in the dash so not all stereos will fit.
1 option id just to use fiberoptic cable to loop back to the stereo?? but i still won't get fm which i'd like to have so i tune in my mp3 player.
please help.
i'm currently listen to my mp3 player on travel speakers :-(

Look around on ebay for a replacement. Usually there are some of these radios around. Just make sure you get the anti theft code.

hiya thanks for that but my dealer tells me that even if i get a new cdplayer/radio that because the fm modulator is broken the radio will still no receive any station?
