** New Member, New VOLVO!! **
Hi guys. I've never driven a Volvo, let alone own one until yesterday.
I'm a huge car guy. Cars have always been a passion and hobby of mine.
A little about me and my cars.
I started off with a brand new 2000 Integra GS-R when I was 17. Loved it. Honda's were the sh*t when I was in High School.
Long story short, I ended up fully building the internals, huge turbo setup, custom everything and was pushing 500wHP in a 2600lbs car and a FWD layout. Torque steer was insane. No grip in the first 3 gears but on the highway, it was intense.
Then got a brand new 2005 BMW E46 ///M3. Amazing car. Fell in love with BMW's and euros. Tuned with several mods.
Sold it and got a 2004 Mercedes E55 AMG. Modded it and had fun for a few months. Had to get rid of it for personal reasons at the time. Didn't even have it long enough to take pictures but I did make a video which I saved and had. So glad I did.
Then I picked up a 2006 BMW E60 ///M5. V10 EVOLVE Alpha-N Tuned with some mods.
Video of some friendly runs against my buddies Audi B5 A4 Stage 1+ Tuned V6 Bi-Turbo.
After I purchased the ///M5, I started missing the Mercedes and my wife needed a new car... so we bought a brand new 2013 Mercedes C250 Sports.
Great little car. Surprisingly quick and torquey! This car drives like it's on glass. Incredibly silky. Love it. Wife wanted the C63 AMG but told her it was too fast for her. She just liked the Quad exhaust tips and the sound when the engine roared on start up. She doesn't care too much about speed, so it would've been an overkill.

I also missed the classic E-series body so I just picked up this 2007 Mercedes E350 in Platinum Blue Metallic a few weeks ago. Fantastic car. Great family car and cruiser.
Then I bought another BMW but this time a Twin Turbo. Got a ride in a friend's Tuned 335i with Meth and that thing PULLED!! Wanted one afterwards, so I picked up a 2007 BMW E92 335i Coupe 6-speed Manual. Got it tuned w/ PROcede Rev 3 V5 tune, PWM Meth Kit, DCI's, Forge DV's, etc. Car was a beast. You can't beat turbo'd cars when you talk about tuning. The amount of power and torque gains is insane. Boost felt incredible.
BUT... it had tons of problems. Long story short, the pulley hit the subframe of the car, causing the belt to come off and shred. Wrapped around the crank causing crankshaft seals to blow, oil filter housing gasket, valve cover gasket, oil pan gasket, etc. Even replacing all that, the leak wouldn't go away. Took the car back completely to stock and got rid of it. It was a nightmare. Those 2007's are problematic. I should have known never to get a first year production car.
Well... not too long ago, I sold the ///M5 and just picked up a Nissan instead.
2011 Nissan GT-R Premium in Gunmetallic.
Car is tuned w/ EcuTeK with AAM Competition 3.5" Mid-Pipes. In short, the car is an absolute monster. It's stupid fast.

Anyways, I've been looking for a daily driver that was smooth, comfortable but had some kick when I wanted it. After searching and test driving 20+ cars on craigslist ranging from several BMW's, Lexus', Mercedes, Nissans, Honda's, etc., I came across a 2001 Volvo S60 2.4T. When I test drove it, I immediately fell in love. It was perfect. Interior is quite nice for its age and boy does it drive nice. Absolutely love how smooth and comfortable the ride was. The car pulled nicely too thanks to the 2.4L Inline-5 Turbo motor. I can only imagine how it would feel after a nice tune.
Here's my new pick up!

Anyways, I look forward to participate on the forums here. I love my Volvo and I'm totally sold on how solid and nice Volvo's are.

There are a few minor issues with the Volvo which I'll be trying to fix. Hopefully it isn't too difficult or expensive.
1. Missing Fuel Cover. Anyone know a cheap place to pick one up?
2. 'Passenger Side Door Open' message is constantly on.
3. Driver Side Power Seats only work for the first 30 seconds when I open the door.
4. Passenger side Door Mirrors and Windows don't work.
I tried blasting Release Fluid where the passenger side door jam/lock is. Still didn't help. Any other ideas?
I think there's something going on with the entire passenger side door since the side mirrors don't work, windows don't work and of course the permanent door open message.
