Default '01 with new transmission OK?

Newbie here -- want a S60 and saw this 2001 T5 for $7000 on CL:

'01 Volvo S60 T5 - New Transmission

I've read on these boards that '01-'02 are to be avoided for transmission issues, but this one has a new transmission and only 85,000 miles. Is an '01 OK with a new transmission, or should they just be avoided altogether?

Thanks very much.

My suggestion is look for a 03+ for that Price. But if they had Volvo do the rebuild i would say Ok .If this was done buy a Indie shop stay away. There are some major problem with the 01-02 tranys and if Volvo didn't do the replacement them the issues remain. This is why Volvo does not rebuild they replace the transmission.
