Can anyone help. 2 weeks ago I noticed when making a left turn that my s60 was making sort of like a wowble noise. It only did it when turning left. Now it's gotten worse. Now I can hear it when going straight and when I turn left even slightly, it's really pronounced so much that i can feel it on the steering wheel, and the gas pedal. I checked my tires and they are alright, i even rotated them but the sound is still there. It comes from thefront wheels.
Any thoughts before I take it to the stealership????
Thanks guys

Maybe wheel bearings?? I'm just guessing and I don't know if this is common or even likely on the Volvo S60. My Contour had this problem and the offending wheel bearing was on the opposite side of the turn that caused the noise. (I.E. Turn left, weight shifts right, and right bearing makes noise....)

those are all the common symptoms of a wheel bearing. But don't feel bad, all cars burn through them eventually, and they're not THAT expensive to replace. Just do it asap. The later you wait, the more damaged and more costly of a repair it becomes. It's also dangerous.

yup, here are some bearings: http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/sh...volvo/s60.html
Looks like you may have to replace the whole hub which is unusual. Usually they give you the option of buying the hub preloaded with the bearings or just pressing them into your old one yourself. Napaautoparts.com only sells the whole hub for like $250. I'd ask the dealers parts desk what options you have so you know what to look for.
If it IS a wheel bearing, and it's bad enough, you can jack up your car and try shaking the wheel with your hands. If it wobbles then that's probably your problem.
