2002 S60 Battery ??
 

My 16 year old daughter's s60 wouldn't start two times after school in the last 3 months. Got some boy to give her a jump each time , not problem later when I checked. She had the problem last night and I was able to go look at it. Checked connections on battery all seemed well. I jumped it off and it seems to be fine again. I have no warning lights about battery or anything else. I am going to try to get the battery and alternatorchecked today but not sure if that's the problem, why no warning light?

If it is the OEM battery, you've gotten plenty of life out of it. Just change it.

Thanks for the info, Fisher. Any sugestions where to buy a good replacement battery? I looked online and found new ones for around $350. I would like to find another brand that's not so exspensive, maybe in the $100 range.

You can get the battery for around $75 to $100 from the dealer. I replaced mine in July 06.

I took the s60 to a local parts store and had the battery and alternator checked. The battery didn't show all that bad but not 100% so I bought a new one for $85. Took 10 to 15 minutes to replace. Good deal
