2003 S60 ABS/Anti-Skid Service Required
This message is displayed in the left corner information box and also there is an ABS light on the lower right corner of the dash. I read the codes and found 0032 left rear wheel sensor faulty signal. No problem I thought and bought a new sensor on eBay. I installed the new sensor without any issues but I'm still getting the same error message.
FYI, I have replaced the knuckle of this wheel not long ago due to parking brake failure which sheered the shoe resting block. I wonder if there is something that is not assembled correctly that is causing this error. The sensor is seated correctly I removed the wheel again and cleaned the sensor and the contact points but to no avail. cleared the codes and as soon as the car gets going the same error pops up. I don't imagine to have a new bad wheel sensor.
Can anyone think of what to check? Are the ABS modules on S60's prone to failure like the 850's and S70's?
