2004 s60R chasis settings service required

Hi guys,
I recently worked on my volvo replaced ball joints and front/back sway bars. While trying to remove my front left ball joint i snapped one of the seized bolts that holds the ball joint in the socket. With that problem i had to take all the bolts off from the control arm and left the strut and spring hanging while i re-drilled a new whole for the bolt. After re-assembleing everything and lowering the car a 'chassis settings service required' message and light came on... I've tried disconnecting the battery, but the message comes back on as soon as i move the car a bit. I've tried changing the chassis setting from comfort to advanced and nothing happens.
Any suggestion? Did I damage the sensor or something while moving the strut around? What steps should I take to have this issue resolved? Where would this sensor be located, if thats what has been moved out of place or something?
I just had the alignment done on the car, so don't want to be poking around and taking things apart again and messing up the alignment just to have the problem remain.
I appreciate all your input I can get,
Thanks
