Im looking for some ways to raise the hp on my t5. I was reading that tightening the waste gate is a good starter. Wondering what the stock psi the turbo is putting out and how much I can raise that on a stock motor with out having problems. Also any other chips or exhaust option ideas would be much appreciated. Thanks

 

I have just found that the t5 has a stock rating of .6bar which is 8.7psi but the motor can take 10.15psi. How many turns on the waste gate would this be?

 

Hi jparker0214. Was the info you read about the waste gate specific to this model Volvo or just general turbo cars? The reason I ask is that I have read several posts regarding the ECU handling boost. When it starts getting readings it isn't prepared to deal with it starts to dial back performance in a big way.
