2005 S60 shaking When Accelerating.

I Have A 2005 Volvo S60 2.5T , And over the past few weeks I’ve noticed when I Accelerate or touch the gas pedal the car shakes, at first it was just barley noticed. However the more and more I’ve driven the car, it’s progressively gotten worse. It’s strictly when the car is accelerating, and it also does it on cruise control. When I’m coasting or braking it’s smooth as can be. It gets worse and more audible once you reach about 30-40 Mph. It feels like it could be something under the hood, the fact that it’s only when accelerating leads me to believe it’s not something suspension related. Any knowledge or advice would be appreciated.

I'd look at three things 1) engine/transmission mounts 2) front axles 3) coil packs/plugs. On item 3, if you have a misfire, the engine will shake under load (higher speeds particularly) and it will likely throw a check engine light at some point.

Thank You for those ideas I will try those, Do you know what the Black horizontal Bar under the hood is tied to or what it’s purpose is. - Thanks
