2007 s60, hid conversion low beam questions
Hey guys, I'm sure there's been lots of posts and i've searched through a bunch . Most of the posts I found however, were not my model year (05 and older) so I'm not sure if I have the right information. I'm pretty much a complete volvo newbie. Anyways, after browsing through the posts, this is what I got (correct me if I'm wrong):
The temperature K is just for color, and I'm hoping for a whiter (not really into the blue) color which is 43k. Also, i know sharphid.com and ddmtuning.com both have kits at affordable prices. I've heard of a lot of "bulb out error" messages being mentioned due to a wattage difference. Now, how can I avoid this message completely without using a relay harness/ having to drill into anything? What kit would I need for that? Also, I'm aware that these won't pass inspection so I'm going to have to switch back and forth before taking it in. Therefore, I was wondering the degree of difficulty of changing back and forth between the two types of headlights. Once again, just looking for any helpful information on HID conversion that would fit the low beam s60 2007 model. Also. on the ddm website, s60 was listed as cars with common problems and may need the relay harness and bow3s? What are bow3s? I haven't seen anything mentioned about those on any of the threads.
in short:
1. whiter color
2. no error messages on bulb out ( guessing I should go with the 55 w but there's not guarantee eh?)
3. information on degree of difficulty for installation
4. no drilling or cutting of any type if possible (plug and play would be ideal!)
5. any other helpful information/tips anyone might have that i should know before buying
Thank you very much in advance for feedback. Much appreciated!
