Had a brand new engine along with a brand new CEM installed about two weeks ago and today I had a “power steering maintenance required” message pop up.
After a quick inspection at the dealership, I was told the culprit was the auxiliary battery, which I have not replaced after it died on me a couple of years ago. I never really cared for the start/stop function.
Does anyone know if the lack of a functioning auxiliary battery can cause your car to throw false maintenance messages?
