Bulb Failure Position Light

I have this message on my dash. "Bulb Failure Position Light", what is a position light? Thanks.

Usually the position lights are located in the tail lights. They are always on so they always go out.

You are correct! I did not realize the there are two bulbs lighting up one area of the lens so it did not look burnt out. Live and learn. Thanks for the reply! Ken
