Buying NOW: Volvo S60 T5 or R

I've been looking around and reading up on Volvo S60R's, but haven't really had the chance to look into T5's
My options right now seem to be between a 2006 T5 fully loaded or a 2007 R both around 100,000 kms.
I've been crunched for time by a job transfer opportunity thats outside of the TTC range (toronto transit), so I have to make a decision fast.
I am aware of the standard things for an R, such as
-Slave cylinder failures
-angle gear/collar gear issues
-timing belt around 150k
-removing exhaust bracket of death
-cut out resonator and straight pipe it
Does the T5's issues compare? How is it on a comparison to the R? Is the R worth the extra money? Or would it just cost a lot more down the road.
Also, which one would you guys want =)
Thanks for your time.

I don't have either model in question. I feel the R costs more all-around. BUT, that doesn't stop me from wanting one. The AWD of the R makes it somewhat practical in winter too. I do not want to knock the T5, but given the choice it's no contest IMO.
There are some real downers to having AWD: uses more gas, if you get a flat you may need to replace the whole set, if you need a tow it needs to be a flatbed. Details. Just details.
If your future plans include upgrades I have to give it to the R. I keep reading replies to people wanting to do xxxxxx (fill in the blank) and it usually goes something like "sell what you have and just start with a better model." And the longer you own your vehicle the more that just makes sense. Start with the right one. That's my 2 cents.
