Clicking noise from under the hood
 

Hi everyone,

I have a 2001 Volvo S60 with 117k miles on it............from the moment I've had it, I noticed a clicking noise coming from under the hood....I've even opened up the hood while its on and I just cant pinpoint WHERE this clicking is coming from. Its not constant its like it stops and starts up again....stops and starts up again....I only notice it when Im stopped at a light.

Does anyone know what this is? Is it a huge problem?

I've took it to the dealer for other issues and no one has ever said anything about this clicking noise.

it is probably the a/c..is the a/c on when the clicking noise occurs

vac pump for breaks . look under the airbax you will see a vac pump and if had to bet you hear it at stop and starts because you are using the breaks. stand in front of the car and have someone pump the breaks and see if the noise returns. If yes no worries its normal
