Convert to 12" brakes?
You will need at least 16" wheels. Also the larger rotors and larger caliper brackets. The rest of the equipment is the same. You might as well replace the pads while you are at it.
If you need your brakes redone, go for it. But it wouldn't make much sense (in my eyes) if your brakes are still good.

i have the factory 17" wheels. is there a part number for the bracket or is it a common part at the dealer? I recently bought the car and the brakes are newish but was wondering what is needed when i replace them.
Thanks for all the info on my thread for this topic fast ride, I talked to the dealership and the part number is now "8251316". Im in toronto and here they want $61.85 a piece for each caliper bracket. Hopefully this info will help someone in the future when there confused if they have 11" or 12", because the dealership parts guy told me the models with high pressure turbos are the ones that come with the 12 inch rotors. Ill be heading to the dealership 2moro to pick mine up.
If you change the pads, and I would, you need to look at the Akebono Euro pads. They are a ceramic pad, and I have had them on my S60 now for 3-4 weeks and still no brake dust.
