Does my s60 adapt to me?

I was chatting with the guy at my local dealership and he said that the s60 "learns" your style of driving and adapts to you. I was surprised to hear this as I can't really figure out what it means. Is it true - and if so where can I learn more about it? Or is it a bunch of baloney!?

Yes it does learn your driving. The engine and transmission adapt to your driving habits.
Not really much info out there about it. But yes over time it adapts.

The computer reads the way you use the gas and brake and moves shift points up and down to fit your style.

That is so cool. I wonder how much change the computer has to play with and how long it takes to learn.

I am loving this car!

Most modern car has this function nowadays.
Not sure if your S60 is similar to what we have here in Singapore.
You can try this out,

Remove Fuse 6 and 23. Crank your engine about 2 times.(IT will not start). Put back the fuses. This should reset your "Learned program stored in the ECU.
For the first few days, you can try agressive pickups and be heavy footed. After a few days or so to a week. You will notice that your car picks up much more responsively.

You can alternatively drives really light footed. Your car will feel really sluggish after a while and wont be that responsive.

You can always reset it as and when you need to and start again. :)
