front end noises

ok so now that it is getting colder here i have noticed almost unbearable noises coming from my front end.. i have narrowed it down to the lower and upper A arm bushings as they have play in them and rattle when i have it jacked up and kick the tire.. i have read of people getting prothane bushing for their a arms and sway bars to eliminate these rattles and screeching sounds but thye never site where they get the bushings.. any help would be awesome this is driving me crazy as i drive on gravel roads a lot :(

Have fun. Good Luck.

Edit: If you do get the QBM endlinks ($$) then you should get the boots they sell...It will protect the spherical bearings from the hazards on/from the road and keep them from rusting.

RE: front end noises

ok so today i was looking and who ever had the car before me had alredy replaced those sway bar mounts... soo i started troubleshooting and found that the right strut made the scratching sound from the top rubber type piece .. so i sprayed some penetrating oil down the strut and rust came out.. it helped but didnt eliminate the noise.. so out of curiosity i turned the rubber piece on the top of the strut a few times bounced the car again and the noise went away.. just updating for anyone else that is experiencing the scratching sound coming from the struts... also for the vets with these cars and the techs which struts would you guys suggest for decent price.. :)

Are you going for stock replacement or preformance...

http://www.ipdusa.com/Volvo-S60/Suspension-&-Steering/Shocks-&-Struts/c-1-74-404-508/

Stock replacement: Sachs is OEM (I think)
It will be ~$530...if you do it yourself.

Preformance Replacement: I like Bilstein but KONI is good too.
It will be ~$600-$750...if you do it yourself.
