Default Front Passenger Window Replacement Cost

Just a quick question. Front passenger window came off its track and cracked straight across. It appears that in cold weather the rubber binds up and jams the window. I went to the independent Volvo shop behind my work and they told me that in addition to the window I will probably need the regulator and the window guide. All total $500+ in parts, laminated window $300, reg $200+ and the guide was $25. But then they said the whole bill would be over $1000. Is this really a 5 hour job? Parts cost is not that outrageous, still sucks. But it does not seem like it should be a 5 hour job to people that service cars as their business.

Thanks.
