I have an 01 S60 2.4 with standard 15 inch wheels and H rated michelins. I was looking into winter tires and was set to purchase Goodyear Nordics (Canadian Tire exclusive brand), but was told by the service tech that the volvo recommends H rated tires and the Nodrics are T rated. This may void any warrantees on the tire. Of course, the H rated michelins are $150 compared to the $70 T rated Nordics. My questions is this, does the rating have an impact on the way the car performs and vice versa, will the tires deteriorate or not perform well because of the lower weight/speed rating?

I would look into another brand.
I would use atleast H-rated tires on the car.

Kuhmo tires are good as well.
