Hello, new Volvo friends!
Hi guys,
Just picked up a 2006 S60 2.5T with 183k on the clock. And yes, the timing belt kit is already en route from IPD. Got it for $2600, needed tires and no maintenance history. Maybe I overpaid a little, but it runs great, no CELs, no smoke/noises, turbo pulls good.
I'm a long time Saab/Swedish car guy, but it's been years since we had a Volvo in the family - had an old 850 wagon and an even older 240DL wagon back in the 90s.
Looking forward to getting to know you all, and hopefully I won't have too many questions to ask about maintenance - seems like the S60 is pretty solid. I'm learning to be concerned about the PCV system, so that's next to check with the glove test, especially since i found a little oil on the driveway this morning right under the oil pan drain bolt. I'm hoping its just a weak seal on the bolt or something simple - don't want to borrow trouble.
Good to meet you all!
