Default HID Xenon head light light conversion Question.

Hey everyone!
I have a 2005 Volvo S60. And I have decided to get a Xenon conversion kit @ 8000k (blue light). It will go well with the look of my car since its silver. black rims and tinted windows.

Now I got a few questions:

This is the conversion kit that I found:
It is size H11 (is it the correct size for the s60?)
http://cgi.ebay.ca/H11-XENON-HID-CON...d=p3286.c0.m14

What do you guys think about this kit? Any other kits that you might suggest?

I have also read that it is a good idea to install HID Projectors in order not to blind the people in front of you. Unfortunately I did not find any for the S60. Is there a way around the blinding aspect?

Any other suggestions and recommendations are welcome!

Thank you

www.ddmtuning.com buy the DDM slimline kit, I reccomend it over the ebay stuff...
Also, you might do well to buy a 55w kit because it can avoid the whole "bulb out" issues that you may deal with when going to a lower wattage

Alternatively, check out www.sharphid.com they will give you good advice specific to your car.

PS. The Light output of 6000k is so much nicer than 8000 and still manages to give a sexy look...

1. 4500k-5000K produces the most light if you didn't know already. Anything past 5000k is just a color change and less light output.

2. That kit is a rip off when you can get a better kit from SharpHID.com for less money. Check them out. On sale right now for $80.

3. H11 is the LOW beam bulb style. H9 is the HIGH beam bulb style.

4. You could do a projector retrofit. Get another set of healights for your car and retrofit some projectors into them. This has been done on 850's before...

+1 on the ddmtuning kit. I recently installed the 35w 4500k kit in my 05 S60 2.5T without any cancelers or wire harness. They work flawlessly without any "Bulb out" message. See here for the other write-up...

Don't let anyone talk you into 55w kits...they are WAY to bright.
