how to disconnect low beam power?
I'm replacing my low beam lights on a 2001 Volvo S60 with Sylvania Silverstars. I'm having trouble disconnecting the power cable though. I've tried squezing the tabs at the tob and pulling, but i cant get the cord to budge on either side. How do I get these things off?
Response by tonight would be appreciated.

Those are a real pain in the A**.
Volvo put connectors on the end of the wires that lock onto the light. Then had the BRIGHT IDEA to cover the connectors with plastic not allowing you to get to the tabs to release.
I always just pull really hard.

Haha, I'm glad that its not just me.
Ok, on the passenger side light, i pulled really hard and accidentally broke part of the plastic off. Will i be OK using electrical tape to keep any shorts from happening? I'll try to take a picture of the broken connector in a minute.
Also, I'm still having problems with the drivers side light, I'll go try again though.
Thanks for the quick reply.

The only thing I can suggest now is to break the plastic some to get to the release tabs.
I wouldn't use electrical tape it will melt.
As long as the connectors aren't bent to touch each other no shorts will happen.

ok i broke some of the plastic with a screwdriver and got the connector off. none of the terminals are bent, so i guess I'm alright.
Gonna go test it out now, wish me luck!
