*New version of this part appears that it will not split apart which is what was happening to me*
Hello all , I have a 2004 S60 2.5T.
I noticed a day ago that when I started my car my brakes had no strength and were squishy until I pumped them several times - this resolved itself rather quickly. Getting to work I checked under the hood to make sure I had brake fluid I found the following popped out of place as the connector seems to have dry rotted from the heat here in Vegas. This part is located on the bottom right of the engine bay.
I've been unable to identify this part after checking for diagrams and forums. I did not receive a code therefore unable to figure out what it could control but appears to be a evap or some sort of check valve as it comes off the manifold splitting to this valve that has a tiny pin hole with a spring inside of it.
Oreilly and Autozone had no idea what it was so I ended up getto ziptieing it to last throughout the day. If anyone has an idea what this top cover part # is.
Below are pictures that hopefully someone has ran into this challenge themselves, appreciate your assistance with this!
