IPOD adaptor
 

I recently installed a USA Spec IPOD adaptor from Crutchfield in my S60R, It works great and I can control upto 5 playlists with my HU-803 CD changer. Since then the SRS service message/light came on. I am planning to take it to a dealer to get it reset. I spliced the power cable to the lighter power on the dash. The ipod does not "turn off" when the car is "turned off" Is there a better source for the power? Should the ipod turn itself off when the car is off?
