Over from the 740 Board. My friend has a 2016 V60 Polestar. She jump started another friends Honda and blew something in the charging system. Charge System Failure! Pull Over When Safe (or whatever..). She knows now jumping new cars is a sticky situation but the bigger question is what failed. Anyone know what dies in a jump start gone bad? Thanks, C.

assuming she didn't reverse the cables (which can blow a fuse or relay etc), its likely that the jump start lowered the system voltage enough to set off a fault code. If you need to do a jump start, the best thing to do is double check the polarity then wait a few minutes after connecting before cranking the other motor to give the dead battery time to build up a charge.
