Maintanence for 60k 2004 s60?

What are things that I should to better my car for long term miles. I had heard changing the trans fluid and read something about the timing belt. No clue. Can anyone reccomend a 60k maintanence list?

Off the top of my head it should be coolant, trans (if auto), and brake fluid (should be done every year). Timing belt might not be due till 105k, check your manual though. It never hurts to be proactive and do it early though. Check out the sticky on timing belts, it is eye opening. You should be able to do these all yourself with the great amount of resources listed here in this forum.

Is there any video or tutorial on how to drain and fill your 2004 s60t trans fluid. Or do you reccommend taking it to volvo or a trans shop for a better price.

You should read the first Sticky in this S60 Section on Transmission Fluid.......lots of advice on how to DIY changing the fluid and alternate fluid to buy instead of the expensive Volvo brand. You can also look at the V70 forum section, too, on transmissions/fluids since the engines and transmissions for the 2001 and newer S60/V70 models are the same.

The 60k is also the tune up service interval.
