Looking at buying a super nice S60 2009 with low miles, one owner in great shape and a great deal. However, after an inspection many modules came back with fault. When we first saw it the drivers chair wouldn’t move and neither would the moonroof, they now work, on their own nothing was done to fix it.
The mechanic seems to think it can’t possibly be a problem with all these modules but again don’t know until they investigate. He said worst case it could be a 1500-1800 fix.
I know it’s hard for you to trouble shoot from where you are but has anyone had a similar issue? And I’m guessing I should stay far away from this one.
no telling how long those codes have been stored from that report - its quite possible they were set when there was a battery voltage issue, particularly if the system in question is working correctly. what was done to make the sunroof and seat work or does it seem to be an intermittant issue (suggesting a connector or relay)?
Nothing was done to make roof/seat work. They just started to work again. Neither had worked for some time possibly since owner didn’t use them. But the second time we saw it they worked. As far as I know electrical fixes can be difficult and time consuming and therefore costly, which is what we’re trying to avoid. Thanks!
