Hello all I want to preface this by saying any and all help would be greatly appreciated. I was great friends friends with this older gentleman that owned a Volvo shop and I was looking at buying this R from him but I didn't have the money at the time and he ended up selling it. I fell in love with the car and always knew I was going to get one from that point on, he recently passed away and I now have the money and want to get one in his honor. Im trying to get the same year and spec but im having trouble narrowing it down, if I find a picture I will include it but all I remember from it was that it was in the Magic Blue Metallic color with dark blue interior. Is there any tips to help narrow down the year it was also manual if that helps. And again any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

I assume it was a P2, at that point you need to look at the trim to see if its an 01-04 or an 05-09. Black plastic trim going around the sides and the front would indicate 01-04. Painted trim that is less of an eye sore would indicate 05-09. The interior is called Nordkap for the color. Im pretty sure there was a manual option every year for this car.

Other than that, good luck in your search. The magic blue metallic is a nice color, had it on my S60 (non -R).
