Need opinions-1st time Volvo Buyer
Hello all, I am a first time Volvo buyer. I'm looking at a 2001 Volvo S60 T5, $8000 or so with 65,000 miles. I'm wondering does this sound like a fair price and what are some of the major issues you all have seen with this year/make/model. Any information would be very helpful.

i would check the records and get a carfax or similar. That mileage sounds really low for a 11 yo car. There are shady people out there that do odometer rollbacks etc. Definitely make sure those are true miles. Also check kelley blue book value. The T-5 are not very common.

Www.NADAGuides.com. That sounds way high to me.

LOL, Hold on, let me get my crystal ball...
Here is the Volvo manual database: Volvo Owners' Manuals | Owners' Manuals | Your Volvo | Top Navigation | www.volvocars.com/us Here is the maintenance list for that car: 2001 VOLVO S60 I guess you'll have to do everything on the sheet. These cars cost about $2,200 per year to maintain unless you can do things yourself. |
01 s60
01-02s have been known to have tranny and ECM issues. Look for 03s or newer, preferably a T5 and you'll enjoy the ride.
