Unhappy Reduced engine performance

Hello everyone. My 03 2.3 T5 w/ 82k miles had that messasge -reduced engine performance and can't figure out the cause/s. Has anybody experienced this on their cars before. It still runs fine but with a slight hesitation on acceleration. On idle the message goes away but if revved, message comes back right away. What could be causing this. Did tune up 1k miles ago. Where do I start?

First go to a autoparts store like AutoZone or the like and have them check for codes in the car.Its free with out that no way to know whats going on.I would guess that the car will with hold some of its proformance to stop from any damage or harm to the car. These cars a very good at protecting them self against engine damage. This message could be some thing small like a bad Vacum hose or bigger like the Turbo control valve .

Default Power loss....

My C70 2003, 80,000miles felt slow and a scan showed the turbo boost value was bad. $40.00 on line, 3 hoses and very easy to change.
Now I have a lot of power.
