Hello,
My dashboard panel went all black along with the climate control. Took it to Volvo dealership for diagnostic test- they could not figure it out and only changed the fuse. It's fuse number 10-
Instrument panel, climate system, power driver's seat. It worked only for 3 days. Now the fuse blows everyday. Once I put new one in- it works for a day or two and blows. I am out of ideas. It has been happening for the last 4 weeks. My regular mechanic could not figure it out and Volvo people have no idea so far.
Everything else works great. None of the other fuse ever blow. Just that one.
Any ideas?

There is probably a short somewhere in the related system. Its pretty easy to check behind the instrument cluster although if there was a short there you would likely have other problems. The black trim around it pulls out and there are screws to take the cluster out, youtube has some helpful videos. I would also check behind the radio panel where the climate control is and check for frayed wires. This also comes out pretty easily, I personally pull the shifter plate loose, block the wheels, and use the parking brake while I shift the car back to the furthest position (L) to easily take the whole assembly out after taking out the two screws on the bottom, try not to drop them lol. BIG NOTE: If you intend to unplug the climate control AT ALL, disconnect your battery before doing so otherwise you will not be able to start you car afterwards, its a security thing. Check all the wires to make sure nothing is frayed or grounding itself out on the body. Lastly, check underneath the driver seat for the wiring for the seat adjustment, the side plastic also just pops right off for direct access to the control module.
More senior members may be able to point in the direction of common locations, but that's where I would start.
